Applied Geology
Applied Geologists deal with problems that have a major impact on humans such as geological hazards and environmental problems as well as the management of natural resources. At The University of Auckland Applied Geology is particularly designed for those with an interest in mining or engineering geology.
Applied Geology is available as a named degree only at postgraduate level.
A postgraduate degree, usually a Bachelor of Science with Honours (BSc) (Hons), Postgraduate Diploma in Science (PGDipSci) or a Master of Science (MSc), is the professional qualification for geologists.
