PhD Thesis- Diversifing Environmental Justice: Understanding the complex relationships between Indigenous communities and energy companies.

The purpose of this study is to use the diverse economies framework, in order to decentralize the environmental racism/ victimization rhetoric found in the current environmental justice framework and creates a space where the complexities of the relationship between the indigenous community and energy companies are allowed to play out. Two case studies, each displaying a relationship between an indigenous group and an energy company will be surveyed using Photovoice and archival research.
